A family of 5 Carolina Wrens is "learning life" in our backyard. They
explore, check out every nook and cranny for bugs, preen, and one makes
soft trilling calls to keep everyone together. One of them just plopped
down on a step in the sun and spread its wings out - one flattened wren -
warming? anting? somehow helping new feathers come in, or just taking in
a gorgeous September afternoon? They are such a pleasure to watch!
