[va-richmond-general] Wake up list, there are birds to be seen

Even though most parks are closed down and alot of trails are impassable, I
found a place to take a walk yesterday (Swift Creek Forest Road on the
Courthouse Road side of Pocahontas State Park). Here's my sightings list for
yesterday:
Carolina Wren
Blue Jay
Overbird (I have seen more in the past month then I have in my entire life!)
Wood Peewee
Yellow Billed Cuckoo
American Crow (everywhere; I seem to have run into a rather large flock of them)
Carolina Chickadee
Tufted Titmouse
Northern Cardinal
Whitebreasted Nuthatch
Northern Flicker
Redbellied Woodpecker
Downy Woodpecker
Scarlet Tanager (female)
I should add a spider count here, too...webs everywhere and the size of some of
the spiders were rather impressive!! I watched on complete an entire web (that
was around dinner plate size) with remarkable speed.
Anyone here going to the Eastern Shore Birding Fest next weekend?
