I had a nice surprise on the way home from work today. As I near my
house on Smith Grove Rd. in Dinwiddie, I pass by a small, swampy
wetland. Today, as I was going by, I glanced over and saw 4 Great
Egrets and a Great Blue Heron. I stopped the car to take a look for
anything else and saw that there were 3 juvenile WHITE IBIS in the
middle of the other birds. Guess it's the year of the inland Ibis!
Good birding.
