[va-richmond-general] Re: Cardinal Missing Head Feathers

Hi all,
Most resources that I have checked indicate that the missing head
feathers on cardinals are part of their normal post-breeding molt
process. Just type in "bald cardinals" on your favorite search engine
(like Yahoo), and you will find several references.
This is another good item to research and add to the Richmond Audubon
website. The discussion comes up every year.
