We have been getting a lot of birds as of late as well, including a pair of
titmice (titmouses?) with a nest in our bluebird box.
I notice that you said that a yellow-throated vireo attacked a crow, but in
your ebird list, you have an X by "yellow-throated vireo". Should that have
been a 1 instead?

A sign that migration is peaking was a record count of 40 species in my yard
in Powhatan County yesterday.
These included my first of the season BLACKPOLL, and both tanagers. Also
signs of breeding activity - a YELLOW-THROATED VIREO presumably defending
its nest by attacking a crow, and a male HOUSE FINCH feeding three well
grown young.
