Hello Richmond birders,

I am the new Virginia Coordinator for the North
American Breeding Bird Survey (BBS).  The BBS
generates data on breeding bird distribution,
population trends and relative abundances that are
actively used in bird conservation planning.  I am
currently seeking one volunteer to run a route in New
Kent County in early to mid-June for the 2005 season. 
Additional routes are available if you don?t mind a
long drive.  To view a list of currently vacant routes
and their approximate locations within the state,

I am looking for volunteers who are able to commit to
running routes for at least two years, who have access
to transportation to complete a survey, possess good
hearing and eyesight, and are able to identify all
breeding birds in the area by sight and sound.  If you
