A very good morning at James R. Park, 42nd St. I arrived at 0700 and stayed
until 0930. Tallied 18 species of warblers, the best being one, and probably
two, Wilson's Warbler. Others were Chestnut-sided, Canada, Black-throated
Green, and Magnolia. Many other migrants of note; Veery ,Swainson's Thrush,
several Baltimore Orioles and Scarlet Tanagers. But the best was a
Black-billed Cuckoo, and also heard a Yellow-billed. There were dozens of
Blackpoll, Parula, and Redstarts. All under a brilliant blue sky!
