Carolina Wren says "seed-eater! seed-eater! seed-eater!" to me, American
Goldfinch males say "potato-chip, potato chip-ip!" and Cuckoos don't
actually say "cuckoo" in on this continent like their European cousins do;
to me their voice is more etheral, almost like a electronic instrument when
they make their "tzeeeeer, tzeeeeer, tzooooo tzooooo tzooooo" call.

some
birds named like that, such as chickadee [-deedee], cuckoo, and
whip-poor-will. If we named other birds like that, we would have
tatweetya for a Carolina wren, bert (with the r trilled) for a
red-bellied woodpecker, twitatwita for a cardinal, and oowicucucu for a
mourning dove.
