Hello Birders,
This afternoon at about 2:40 I had 2 adult BLACK TERNs in breeding plumage.
They were quartering the pond that is adjacent to rte. 156 and the dirt road
that goes up to Shirley Plantation. I watched them from the dirt road for
about half an hour. They were still there when I left.
Also of note were about 6 CLIFF SWALLOWs at the Jordan Point Marina (Prince
George Co.) and a single GRASSHOPPER SPARROW on Turkey Island Road (Henrico
Co.)
