Irene,

Absence of breast spotting and pronounced eye ring point to a veery, and 
they are coming through at the moment.  They will often have brownish malar 
stripe..  Don't know about the "crescent moon marking-possible partial eye 
ring?"  Gray-cheeked would typically have distinct breast spotting.
