[va-richmond-general] hatch year Painted Bunting

Richmond Birders,
On September 21, 2002, Bob Reilly caught a hatch year Painted Bunting at
Dutch Gap. He was kind enough to send in a write up to VARCOM and Al
Warfield provided photos. I just wanted to let everyone know that this
submission has been accepted by VARCOM as the first documented hatch
year Painted Bunting in the state. Though this doesn't necessarily mean
the bird was hatched in Virginia, it still represents a significant
ornithological find. Thanks to both Bob and Al for submitting the
documentation!
Al - I don't seem to have your address. If you send it to me, I'll send
you a thank you letter on the spiffy new stationery that Ned had made
up. Thanks.
