[va-richmond-general] One-year Non-renewable lease to deserving bird families?

In the autumn of 2005, we bought a "bluebird house" from Ukrops. Bluebirds
have rejected the house, however. The birdhouses are provided by Ruritan
clubs and they need to be notified that these houses have holes that are too
small for bluebirds.

But not for other birds. But it is a different species of bird that takes up
housekeeping in these houses every spring. In 2006 it was a chickadee
family. In 2007 titmice set up a relationship in that house. This year it's
nuthatches, the white-breasted kind. Today I saw nuthatches carry nesting
material into that house, some of it so big they had to drop it. At one
point a chickadee tried to approach the birdhouse, but then turned away. In
fact, I saw chickadees go into the house earlier and wonder if the nutjobs
pushed them out.

Makes me wonder what kind of bird will use the house in 2009.
