It's a tail feather from a yellow-shafted flicker.

Subject: A Yellow and Black Bird Feather
Dear Folks,
I just walked out in my backyard (4/19) just west of Carytown and found
a strange, new feather. The quill is mainly a mustard yellow. The top of the
feather is black, but the underneath is yellow with black at the tip. It's
about 3 inches long and about 1/2-3/4 of an inch wide. I'm stumped as to the
bird.
Can you help?
Thanks,
Linda Nicholson
