[va-richmond-general] Common Loon-Bryan Park

4-13-2003 Adult Common Loon in breeding plumage seen by Eileen Tangley.
4-14-2003 1415-1515 hrs. Adult Common Loon seen again by Tangley and Sue Ridd
in the most northern pond. Moves back and forth in east to west direction.
Osprey took a 5" fish, perched, ate the fish and then lifted wings to dry.
Other observations:
4-6-2003 Pileated Woodpeckers observed copulating in Bryan Park by 9 Audubon
members on monthly bird walk.
4-12-2003 On James River, west of Pony Pasture and east of Huguenot Bridge.
About 100-150 DC Cormorants roosting on island's east side. Male and female
Black Duck.
