Here is an email I got today via the RAS website. Maybe someone out there will want to contact Richard and take him up on his offer.

Hello. I own a farm about 80 miles south of Richmond. I grew up here, and I think this is an AMAZING place to see birds that you don't normally see in many other places. There is an abundance of different habitats, harboring different species. There are about 90 acres here total.I have a 10-acre natural swamp on the back of the place. I have mature, natural hardwoods, and some pine stands, also. There is a nesting site for Blue Herons in the swamp, and they can be viewed easily. I have paths through most of the farm for easy walking or golf-car riding. This place has never been studied for birds or wildlife, and I would like to offer to let interested parties come down here and enjoy watching the wildlife(free, of course). I'm only 9 miles off Interstate 85 from South Hill, Va. on the Kenbridge Road(138). I really think there could be some discoveries here that would surprise birdwatchers. I can be e-mailed, or called at 434-294-6042. Thanks........Rick
Me again. I noticed a "field trip" link on the page. Perhaps you all would like to conduct one of those. Bottom line is that I have always loved nature, and want to contribute to the enjoyment of others. Thanks again........Rick
