We've just witnessed some interesting Redtail behavior. We saw the hawk at a
hole about 2/3 of the way up a large tree in our neighbor's yard. The hawk was
watching the hole intently and sticking its foot into the hole as though it was
trying to reach something. It pulled out a large amount of what appeared to be
a squirrel nest. After a few minutes it flew off empty-taloned. A few minutes
later a squirrel peeked out of the hole - guess it was the squirrel's lucky day.
