Today, Sunday 3/20 at Dutch Gap there were several yellow-bellied Sapsuckers,
and we saw 1 snipe along the marsh area. We think on two occasions. The wood
ducks were also active and close on one occasion to the road. It was a great
birding day with cardinals, song sparrows, white throated sparrows, coots,
northern flickers, osprey, an eagle, and nesting blue herons. Killdeer were
heard
flying in.
