[va-richmond-general] falcon news

Good news! I saw the peregrines mate yesterday -- twice!! Hopefully, there
will be eggs soon. They now have two beautiful penthouse nest boxes from which
to choose. One, as I wrote before, is in the right-most vent on the east side
of the Dominion building. The other is on top of the west tower of Riverfront
Plaza facing north (right above my office). There was evidence that they may
have been considering that as a nesting spot. Let's hope they choose one of
those locations.
Aside to Alan Wingfield: If you can see either of those locations from your
office, let me know if you happen to catch one or both of the falcons perching
near them. I can see Dominion well and I usually see the falcons landing above
my window, but the more eyes, the better.
