We've been getting more pileated woodpeckers, red-shouldered hawks,
bluebirds, robins, thrashers, starlings, grackles, and crows than usual
lately. Huge flocks of robins gathered around the playground in our
development today. We have also had huge flocks of starlings, but none
lately. Today four bluebirds came to our feeders, and we didn't even have
bluebird houses put up. Three of them crowded around our small suet grate at
once. 

We also have been getting more cats and dogs as of late, and I scare them
off when they appear.

Greetings,  We are doing Cornell's Project Feeder Watch today while
waiting for endless football.  So far, and the sun hasn't set yet, 31
species in the yard.  We think the birds sense a weather change.
Highlights:  Two Barred Owls, a Pileated Woodpecker, one Brown Creeper, 2
Bluebirds, one Robin, one mocking Bird, three Yellow-rumped Warblers, two
Pine Warblers, 15! Cardinals, one Red Shouldered Hawk, one Phoebe, one
Baltimore Oriole, and one Purple Finch, and lots of our backyard
regulars.
