Greetings...

Saw the wintering hummingbird on Saturday.  She zipped in for a meal and
watched me watching her from across the street.  The homeowner arrived
whilst I was watching and seemed enthused that people were dropping in to
marvel at his unusual visitor.  She's gorgeous!

Had a very interesting and unexpected sighting today:  came back to my
office from a meeting and saw and heard a Kestral overhead, calling loudly.
Whipped out my binocs (keep them in the car now) and had a look; the
Kestral was flying loops and then landed on a tree across the back field of
my building.  Very nice surprise!  

(For those who don't know, I work in Petersburg on an 800-acre campus
housing 4 state facilities).
