Leanna,
The bird has been in an area between the walkway on the top of the floodwall
and the loop of track that comes toward the walkway, and behind the tracks in
the bushes. From the parking lot off Semmes you go across the railroad tracks
and down to the walkway that parallels the tracks, then left to the elevated
walkway with metal rails. Walk on that walkway until you see the loop of track.
The bird has been seen in the open grassy area, the bushes, the track, walkway
rails, and even under the Manchester bridge. It seems to have found an ideal
area for a flycatcher. There is a mockingbird that chases it around and vice
versa.

Subject: [va-richmond-general] A-T flycatcher at Floodwall
I went down to the Floodwall at 3:15 pm today, and I looked but saw only
sparrows in the grassy area between the floodwall and the tracks. I'm
wondering if I am looking in the right place. I walked directly under
Manchester bridge and walked out a hundred feet or so on the floodwall. I am
going back on Sunday to look, any suggestions?
Thanks,
Leeanna Pletcher
