[va-bird] Ben Brenman--pix: the ice is in and so are the Hoodies (and a Cooper's)

The larger body of water at Ben Brenman has frozen over, with clear water
around the fountains. The ducks were swimming and feeding while about 40
RING-BILLED GULLS marched back and forth on the ice along the water's edge.
There were sixteen HOODED MERGANSERS (m&f) in the water today, beginning
courtship behavior (first three photographs).
There was also an immature female COOPER'S HAWK present (nect four
photographs).
The photographs can be seen in this gallery on my website,
