Several recent errors. "Audubon Naturalist News" has apparently listed my
e-mail incorrectly. Please use the following for all e-mail:
harryarmistead@xxxxxxxxxxxx Also, I will probably not be in Rm. 4 of the
Peacock Motel, as my recent USPS letter indicated, but Rm. 103 instead,
adjacent to the Office. I know the Peacock is a little seedy but it
doesn't make MUCH diference while (and if) you are unconscious. If you
didn't receive one of my letters (not due to arrive in VA until Wed. or
Thu.) and want to go please e-mail me as indicated.
Last Thursday's 8" snow in Philadelphia brought 21 Common Mergansers over
our city street on Friday, a Fox Sparrow at the corn on Sun., a Tree
Sparrow at our doorstep feed on Mon. & Tue., and a female Merlin carrying a
bird (probably a Burger Kinglet ["Passer spurious"]) at 6304 Castor Avenue
(where I work) on Tuesday (first seen atop a trolley pole!).
