December 9, 2002, at Huntley Meadows Park from 0700 to 0900. A group of
twenty Canada Geese made an interesting attempt at a landing on the frozen
central pond. The highlight of the trip was an immature Sharp-shinned Hawk
perched on a small snag overlooking the frozen water.
