[va-bird] Waterfowl count

There were ducks and other waterfowl aplenty in Prince
Georges County today. The main entrance to Piscataway Park
off Bryan Point Rd. was gated, so Piscataway creek was
viewed from Wharf Rd. and Calvert Manor. Also, the covered
was the Potomac River from the National Colonial Farm and
the Potomac and mouth of Swan Creek from Fort Washington.
Totals were:
Pied-billed Grebe 2

Tundra Swan 439
Gadwall 210
Amer Wigeon 6
Amer Black Duck 103
Mallard 170
No Shoveler 51
No Pintail 45
Ring-necked Duck 30

Common Merganser 230
