[va-bird] Townsend swallow

After receiving lots of commentary on the white-faced swallow at Townsend,
VA, from 24 November, I've posted notes from Kenn Kaufmann, Will Russell,
Michael M. Rogers, Kimball Garrett, Steve Mlodinow, Gavin Bieber, and others
on the website (http://www.sterling-inn.com/Violet-green.html). In general,
westerners find the structure AND plumage of the swallow to be inconsistent
with a typical Violet-green Swallow, but at least one observer suggests a
hybrid Tree x Violet-green Swallow, which would itself be interesting! In
any case, it's marvelous to get feedback (from the real experts) on odd birds
such as this through the Internet, a great learning experience.
