Hello all
Yesterday I had the day off from work so I went out trying to find Horned Lark
, Lapland Longspur , or just a Snow Bunting . None of these birds materialized
. Instead I found a Ross's Goose in the Lyndhurst area of the County. I got a
few photos of this bird & I am having them enlarged . I checked this afternoon
but the goose was not there . With yesterdays lighting , the movement of the
bird in between the 100+ Canada Geese & the heat shimmers I thought I saw a
faint grin patch . With this I am thinking that this goose may be a Ross's x
Snow Goose hybrid . With the goose gone I may never know but it still had all
the field marks for a Ross's .
Anyway here is the complete list of waterfowl from yesterday .
