[va-bird] Manassas National Battlefield Park, Pr. Wm. Co

Red-headed Woodpeckers are not common at Manassas National
Battlefield Park, but today one was engaged in some kind of
dispute with 3 or 4 Blue Jays, an avian commotion not easily
missed. This bird was close to Bull Run, in the far
northeastern section of the park. All six other expected
woodpecker species were present as well: Red-bellied,
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, Downy, Hairy, Northern Flicker and
Pileated. Three Fox Sparrows also added interest to a
beautiful winter day at the battlefield.
