Birders,
Another October gone - lovely weather, a lot of blue but generally enough
clouds, (20-50%)winds westerly but light, temps in the 60s. Good company, too:
Jen Folts arrived
before yours truly and Bob Blakeny and Bob Rummel were there for the day.
Hours
were from 9:30 to 2:30, when the birds just shut down, so we did too.
The birds:
Bald Eagle - 2
Northern Harrier = 7
Sharp-shinned - 28
Cooper's - 8
Red-shouldered - 1
Red-tailed - 13
Golden Eagle - 1
Unidentified = 5
TOTAL - 65
Birds of interest of the non-raptorial variety: 6 Purple Finches came by,
first of the
season.
