[va-bird] White-winged Dove continues

The White-winged Dove returned to the yard between about 1130 and 1330
yesterday. Again, it could be difficult to see when perched in the large
shade
trees on the east side of the house, but it came out to drink water from the
neighbors' rain gutters and was more easily seen then. It clearly spends part
of
the day elsewhere. On Sunday afternoon, Jethro Runco spotted it coming in
from the south, so it could be that it's just across the street, on the block
to the south, in similar large trees, part of the day. A flyover American
Pipit at 0441 was a new yard bird while taking the hound for a tinkle today;
didn't think of pipits as nocturnal migrants but obviously they must move at
night
too.
