[va-bird] Harvey's Knob Hawkwatch Monday ( 7 Nov 2005) 9 Raptors

The past several days have been very slow on the knob, with either winds
coming from the wrong direction (SW) or winds pretty much nonexistent. Even
with the passage of a front yesterday we only managed to record 9 hawks passing
the lookout today. What little wind(NW) we had died down early afternoon.
Yesterday, 11/6, only 5 were seen. We're in dire need of a strong cold front
passing through that would generate strong NW winds to get the migration back
on
track. Baron Gibson kept the count today, his first bird of the day was a 3rd
year Bald Eagle!
