It was a beautiful morning Sunday to walk the Hike/Bike Trail at Huntley
Meadows. The FOX SPARROW was in the brush piles to the left of the
platform. All of the other good stuff was in the Woodcock Meadow. The late
migrants were a western PALM WARBLER, a female YELLOWTHROAT, and a HOUSE
WREN. In general, good numbers of sparrows and kinglets; only a handfull of
yellow-rumps. Also interesting were small vocalizing flocks of bluebirds
flying overhead all morning. Rough totals of noteworthy birds:

Flicker 5
Phoebe 1
Bluebird 25 (unless is was the same two flocks sneaking back to fly over
heading southeast over and over)
Catbird 1
Creeper 1
House wren 1
Winter wren 1
RC kinglet 7
GC kinglet 10
Yellow-rump 8
Palm 1
Yellowthroat 1
Fox sparrow 1
Song 25
Swamp 3
White-throat 25
Field 8
Towhee 3
