Thanks DW!  I didn't know that "Vehicles Only" was being enforced!  (And I 
thought that being on that trail for only 1/4 mile would be okay.)

     Yes, when you park, there is a small pond straight ahead.  My direct 
but "illegal" route would have gone around the pond on the left side.  As 
you point out, the acceptable route is to go around the pond to the right.
