Howdy all,
Well, the last two days have been much slower tan we have had in quite some
time. The first was a nice day but today was very windy so we could only run
half of our nets. As a whole however, there are a lot less birds around right
now than a week ago.
Here are the numbers for the last two days.
1 Nov:
Ruby-crowned Kinglet 2
Brown Creeper 1
Winter Wren 1
House Wren 1
Yellow-rumped Warbler 33
Western Palm Warbler 1
Eastern Phoebe 1
Hermit Thrush 2
Chipping Sparrow 1
Song Sparrow 12
Swamp Sparrow 5
Slate-colored Junco 1
White-throated Sparrow 4
American Robin 3
Sharp-shinned Hawk 1
TOTAL ------------------------- 69
2 Nov:
Golden-crowned Kinglet 1
Brown Creeper 1
Yellow-rumped Warbler 18
Slate-colored Junco 1
White-throated Sparrow 3
Hermit Thrush 1
TOTAL ------------------------ 25 after the last few weeks, do you know
how slow today was!
I hope the winds die down tonight and there are still a few birds around. I
am not quite ready to throw in the towel yet!!
Cheers,
Jethro Runco
