[va-bird] CBBT & Eastern Shore of VA NWR

VABirders,
A group of birders from William & Mary bird crews spent part of the day on
CBBT. The weather was absolutely perfect. Highlights are as follow:
Island # 4
Red-throated Loon - 1 flyby and one near the rocks on the east side
Common Loon - 1 to the east
N. Gannet - several between #3 and #4
Great Cormorant - 5+ north of the island on the west side sitting on concrete
Harlequin Duck - stunning drake on east side
Black Scoter - 100+ flyby
Surf Scoter - 1 flyby
Purple Sandpiper - 4
Osprey
Sharp-shinned Hawk
Song Sparrow - 1
Dark-eyed Junco - 1
Island # 2
Great Cormorant - several to the west
Lesser Scaup - 1 female
Long-tailed Duck - 2 females
Black Scoter - 8
Surf Scoter - 4
Peregrine Falcon - 1
American Oystercatcher - 5
Dunlin - 2
Lesser Black-backed Gull - 1 on west side
Northern Cardinal - 1 female
Additionally on the drive out we had 20+ Tundra Swans on Fisherman Island.
At the boat ramp at Eastern Shore of VA NWR I had 35 White Ibis and 2 Glossy
Ibis.
