VABirders,
Hello all. I have been running owl nets for a little over a week now here on
the eastern shore. Owl numbers are still fairly low but this is likely a
result of the warm temps. As of now I have banded 15 Saw-whets and 4
Screech-owls. Additionally I have retrapped 3 NSWO one bird was caught on the
22nd and
retrapped at on of our separate stations about 5 miles away on the 27th, must
have been a long walk!
Numbers should improve with the coming cold fronts. Good birding.
Cheers,
