[va-bird] A perfect fall morning

Hello birders,
I hope many of you took the opportunity to enjoy this gem of a fall morning as
I did. I was enjoying the show, as all of our winter woodpeckers but
Red-Headed and Hairy put in an appearance in my backyard, Yellow-Rumps, R-C
Kinglets, and White-Throated Sparrows scarfed down poison ivy berries, and W-B
Nuthatches, Juncos, and House and Goldfinches visited the feeders. Suddenly,
what to my wondering ears should appear, but a miniature wren--a song I've
never heard before and my first real look at a Winter Wren--right in my own
backyard! To top off the glory of the morning, a hot-air balloon floated by in
the early morning mist.
Ah, the joys each season brings!
