[va-bird] [Fwd: [MDOSPREY] Request posting to mdosprey]

Forwarded per request.

As many of you know, the Rusty Blackbird is a bird in serious
trouble, its numbers have been declining and previously
favored breeding areas have been abandoned (see:

http://nationalzoo.si.edu/ConservationAndScience/MigratoryBirds/Feat
ured_Birds/default.cfm?bird=Rusty%20Blackbird).

We are looking for study sites to bait in blackbirds to do
behavioral studies, in particular we are interested in the Rusty
Blackbird. Has anyone been seeing them locally (Washington, DC and
surrounding counties?) Does anyone know of reliable areas to see
them in the fall?

Please respond to Russell Greenberg at greenbergr@xxxxxxxxxx

Thank You!

Sincerely,

Gregory Gough
