Good evening,
I'm glad to hear the Hoodies are back at the Bull Run Plaza pond. I always
look forward to their arrival. I've been watching them every winter for the
past four years. At one time last year, there were 28 of them. I've also seen
a Snow Goose, Bufflehead (4), Caspian Terns (4), and a Green Heron there. The
pond behind the Circuit City across the road (Rt. 234) held 6 Redheads for a
month in January '99, I think. I would drive over there almost everyday, to
check if they were still there. A Great Egret was present three years ago. I
believe the pond at the Battlefield Industrial Center held a Long-tailed
Duck..don't know the year.
BTW, who is the observer of the newly arrived Hoodies at Bull Run Plaza?
