[va-bird] Arlington Rd Shorebird report
- From: jay <azure.jay@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>

VA-Birders,
It's been raining fairly hard all day on the Eastern Shore at the Festival
according to Kurt Gaskill, who phoned in a few sightings from a little while
ago this morning. I'm hoping the front passing through from the west pushes
the tropical storm remnants offshore for tomorrow when I plan to head down
there. Kurt was viewing the west side of Arlington Road about a mile south of
Custis Tomb, and he relayed the following:
74 Black-bellied Plover
1 American Golden Plover
2 Sanderling
2 Western Sandpiper
3 Pectoral Sandpiper
31 Dunlin
13 SBDO
1 LBDO
Many of the birds are actively catching earthworms in the bare patches of
ground in the field.
Best,
Jay Keller,
Arlington
