VA-Birders,

Sharon Lynn, Tom Albright, and I found one, possibly two Cape May Warblers today at Occoquan Bay NWR along Deephole Point Road. We found many Yellow-rumps, perhaps 25, and a Common Yellowthroat, but none of the Palms that had been numerous over the last couple of weeks. A heavily cropped photo of the Cape May can be seen at http://www.pbase.com/paulasullivan/image/50267237

We had gone there hoping for sparrows, but they seem to be very slow in arriving this fall. We found just one Savannah and a handful of Songs. Last week I saw a Swamp and a few Fields, and even a Lincoln's about two weeks ago, but couldn't locate any of those today.
