[va-bird] Kiptopeke banding 10/4:Winter Wren, Scarlet Tanager

Howdy all,
Another slow day at the station today. The winds picked up mid morning and
the bird captures dropped to zero after that. We had 2 birds on the 10am net
run
and no birds after that. We did catch a few nice birds to show a school group
that was here today, however.
With more school groups coming tomorrow, I hope we can catch birds for them
too.
Here is the list banded today 10/4:
A. Redstart 4
C. Yellowthroat 3
Western Palm 1
Black-throated Blue 1
Winter Wren 1 first of the season
Indigo Bunting 2
Scarlet Tanager 1 first of the season
Gray-cheeked Thrush 1
Gray Catbird 12
TOTAL -------------------- 26 we at least broke 22, but not by much!
Sure hope there is a change sooner or later.
