Hello Birders,
For a while at Ft. C.F. Smith Park in Arlington, I thought I was at NY
Monuments! It was
quite good immediately following sunrise, where many migrants crowded the trees
to the
point where I could not possibly get on everything flying around me. In all,
there were 6
species of warblers, including Cape May, Tennessee, and Magnolia, and both
species of
Kinglet showed up in good numbers. One of the Cape Mays still had chestnut
coloring
on the side of its face, and prominent white wing patches. The Kinglets were
literally
everywhere, and there were probably twice the amount of individuals present
than I report
here. After 45 minutes I had to leave, but there was still a lot of activity.
The complete
observed list follows, which should include several warblers that were too high
in the trees
to ID (they looked like Pine Warblers but were silent).

Best Birding,

Jay
