This afternoon (9/3) around 5:15, I had 2 Clay-colored Sparrows on the east
side of island #3 of the CBBT thanks to Ned Brinkley who called my cell just as
I was about to enter the north toll plaza (on the way home after spending most
of the day on the hawk platform at Kiptopeke) to say that some other birders
had a Clay-colored on #3 about 4:00 PM.
Other birds on the CBBT this AM and PM included: imm, White-crowned Sparrow,
Nashville,Black-throated Blue,Hooded, and Palm Warbler, flicker, Marsh Wren,C.
Yellowthroat, Ruby-crowned Kinglet, and a Peregrine Falcon.
Good Birding,
Mike Boatwright--
Amherst, VA
