[va-bird] Bobolink, Gray-cheeked Thrush, 11 warblers etc... in Franklin County

For the first time in a long while I had a Bobolink today, at the marshy end of
our largest pond, along with a half dozen Song Sparrows and a couple of Common
Yellowthroats.
Again the forest was full of thrushes and warblers, but because of the overcast
skies many of the thrushes way up in the tupelos and grapevines were just
silhouettes. I saw one Gray-cheeked Thrush very clearly, and judging from the
call notes it is likely there were a few more.
A male Rose-breasted Grosbeak was giving an abbreviated version of his song,
and two Hooded Warblers were singing their mid-summer song. I heard a single
Ruffed Grouse drumming down the river.
