Nashville warbler, dark-eyed junco and common tern were present at Island 3
of CBBT on October 3, 2003.

There was a very very large dead marine turtle (loggerhead?) on the Bay side
of Fisherman's Island. It was strange because the flesh was not
deteriorated but there was a hole at the top of the shell and many of the
plates were delaminating from the upper shell. The only flies were in the
hole. The shell was heavily marked with red. I presume the turtle was run
over by a cargo vessel.
