[va-bird] finches and a deadly carport

We have lost a number of finches that feed near our carport - they fly in
and fatally hit the walls. l Does anyone have suggestions as to how to
discourage them from entering the carport? Wall color? Hanging
swirliigigs? Rubber snakes? Thank you for your advice. Happy birding!
