Went to Tysons to check on the nighthawks again last night.
The lights went on promptly at 8:28 and in a couple of minutes
there were a dozen birds flying around LOW in the lights.
By 8:45, or so, there were 40-60 nighthawks at all altitudes visible in the
lights.
As the night was sparkling crystal clear, the birds were quite striking.
Several other birders also showed up for the show.
I think the next few nights should be quite good there as well.
