I stopped over at Huntington Creek on my way home from Annapolis this afternoon and did a bit of the "shorebird shuffle". I was able to relocate the Semipalmated Plover (mentioned in an earlier post here) carousing with a few Killdeer. I'm still striking out trying to relocate the Pintail, Western Sandpiper, and Teal that have been reported here (its not from lack of birding, just ask my wife), but I hit the mudflats usually in the late afternoon so it's probably a timing issue.
I also had the pleasure of meeting Ben Jessup, who just happened to be cycling home after what I'm assuming was work (he didn't have binoculars so I don't know where else he would be coming from).
