[va-bird] Kiptopeke banding 9/7: an ugly one

Howdy all,
We you all didn't miss much today at the banding station. We banded a total
of 11 birds. Yahoo I know. The worst part of it was the number of deer running
around the station this morning. We had deer go through three different nets.
Deer + Nets = bad things
Then the wind picked up. We caught one bird, a cardinal, during the last
three hours of banding. Oh yea, and the first run of the day had no birds. A
bad
omen there.
Sure hope tomorrow is better!!
Here's the numbers 9/7:
Common Yellowthroat 4
American Goldfinch 1 first of the season
Carolina Wren 2
House Wren 1
Veery 1
Eastern Kingbird 1
Northern Cardinal 1
TOTAL --------------------- 11
Cheers,
Jethro
